Check out the fascinating installation "on" our Oslo shop by our architect friends; Julian Preiss and Paul la Tourelle.

50,000 mm elastic thread cones; red, yellow and pink, radiate from a street light outside the shop. The threads converge towards the shop's glass facade, cascading through it then 'illuminates' on the inside of the shop's window across the glass. 150,000 mm is designed to engage both the private and public space of the shop's interior and the street outside. The installation can be viewed at Kirkegt 20, Oslo.

Norwegian Rain are excited to open up its shop-in-shop at OUKAN 71 - a new Berlin concept store for Japanese design and international avant-garde.. Located in a stunning architectural building in the centre of Berlin - Mitte.

Where would you go if there could be mines everywhere you go?

Mote Mot Miner (Fashion against Mines), is Norwegian Rain/T-Michael and Freudian Kicks´ attempt to challenge designers and shops to join forces around landmine clearance and Norwegian People´s Aid´s important work on this matter.

We challenge Oslo shops to "clear" an area equal to their shop size and by that we dream for a mine-free Oslo city centre within the 23rd of October (TV aksjonen 2011 - www.tva2011.no). Maybe even new cities will follow? Participating shops get a sticker on their front door to signal their contribution and stimulate others to join.

4 fashion designers and a perfume gathered in volume III of the nomadic sales exhibition/pop-up store ; "Bergen - a pop-up book" - this time in Brussels, Belgium.The five days dugnad project (1.-5th of Sept) was presented by Norwegian Fashion Institute and curated by the designers themselves.

An abstract representation of the co-relation between the four elements, the harmony and architectural preciseness in Japanese gardens and the harsh climate in Bergen. A sneak peek into some of what's going on at the creative scene of Bergen, Norway. Hoping to inspire and excite the Brussels' visitors ever so slightly...

Winter coat!  A limited edition collection of 34 detachable waistcoats/quilted linings in cashmere has now arrived in our flagship stores and online. They can be buttoned to all coats of collection II and makes it - especially the herringbone versions - a great alternative in the winter cold.

Norwegian Rain is pre-launching Collection II in the Oslo store Monday the 15th. of November in collaboration with the Charity project "Prosjekt Vinterjakke" (Project winter coat).

The initiator Trine-Lise Henriksen is collaborating with various local charity organizations (Blåkors, The Salvation Army etc.) in order to reach out to the people in need for warm clothes in the cold Oslo winter. So, if you have any warm winter coats in good condition that you no longer use, we would love to receive it in our osloshop. As a small extra treat we will give you NOK 500/1000,- off on the new collection.

Mon-Fri 12-18.00. Sat 12-17. We hope to see you in our store in Kirkegata 20/Posthallen.

During the Milan Fashion Week Norwegian Rain and a group of emerging artists with roots from the creative scene of Bergen opened up their pop-up book. The installation showcased a cross section of fashion, furniture design, art, music and culture.

The idea of using a pop-up book as a frame for the exhibition is based on the exciting feeling that evoked as child when you where exploring pop-up books - transferring the mind into the mysterious world that were presented. Here we aimed to evoke some of the same feeling for adults. We used the theme to invite the visitors into our life that for us appear much different from the decadent Milan where the project was born. The claustrophobic entrance between the books where referring to the feeling of living in Bergen where 7 mountains encapsulate the citizens and the rain into one small center. The good side of this concentration is the easy state of doing collaborations...

The place is located in an original Coffee and Tea shop from 1963, filled with thrilling and original design items predominently Scandinavian, from the 50's and 60's.
